BIRD

This two part suite opens up with mysterious and eastern-influenced chording to create a sense of urgency before exploding into an adventurous funky jam to set the tone for the EP. Various themes appear, including the overuse of technology, lack of social understanding, and how music is the ultimate language.

On a cold morning in February, The Copper Smoke Trials met with the team at The Hive Multimedia, Twin Rock Recording Co., and Jay Schneider at a warehouse in Ankeny, Iowa to collaborate on a cover of Stevie Wonder's "Superstition."
