About

THE GOOD WORD
Formed in 2017, the most recent incarnation of Clayton Ryan's songwriting and soul project includes Patrick Cunningham on drums, Andy Braught on bass, and Andrew Teutsch on the keyboards. Drawing influence from retro acts like Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, and The Doors and newer soul rock groups like Rival Sons and Jonathan Wilson, tCST breathes a story of music born in struggle, conquest, and straight-up being a damn good person.
In March of 2018, the group released their debut EP, "Bird" on Rama Studio Records. The five track record consists of all-original music with influences from Pink Floyd, Deep Purple, and The Doors.

"Although “Bird” doesn’t have one story or theme, the EP’s five songs are sonically held together through a skillful blend of progressive rock, blues and jazz.
Each song addresses a different aspect of life — whether it be a meditation on the things we value, the constant struggle with one’s identity or how youth are being raised today. Consequently, this album is steeped in emotion."
